General Obstetrics and Gynecology
UDMC has the highest quality standards of education, training and service in General Obstetrics and Gynecology. It is committed to provide optimal reproductive health for women in the Philippines. It is headed by the Department’s Training Officer Dr. Jean Go-Du.

Gynecologic-Oncology Section
UDMC boasts of its Gynecologic-Oncology Section. It is headed by DR. JERICHO THADDEUS LUNA, one of the most respected consultants in the field. He is assisted by DR. IRENE MAGIBA a homegrown Gyne Oncologist.

UDMC is most well known and has the most number of cases for OBSTETRICS GYNECOLOGY LAPAROSCOPY, a minimal-invasive technique which enables the gynecologist to view the organs of the abdomen or pelvis. A WORLD RENOWNED INFERTILITY EXPERT, DR. DELFIN TAN, former President of POGS and of UDMC, is the leading authority in the field of OB-Gyne Laparoscopy and is respected not only in the country but also in the whole world.

fatal_monitoringFetal Monitoring
Fetal monitoring is by and large done electronically in birthing facilities. Electronic Fetal Monitors are used to detect and trace the fetal heart rate and uterine contractions. These are usually monitored at the same time. However, each one can be obtained separately. In terms of electronic fetal monitoring, it is either external or internal.

Fetal monitoring is a valuable tool for measuring fetal well being of the fetus. Due to the sensitivity of the monitor, information gathered can be very useful in monitoring labor progress.

Fetal monitoring can be availed of at a very low price of Php 472.00 as compared to Php 1,770.00 in other hospitals.

diagnostic_imgDiagnostic laparoscopy is a procedure that allows a medical practitioner to directly inspect the inside of the patient’s abdomen and pelvis. This will guide the specialist in assessing accurately what condition or illness the patient may have. It allows visualization of liver, gall bladder, small bowel, large bowel, ovaries, fallopian tubes and even appendix, which gives the specialist room for intervention if the condition permits.

Laparoscopic operation, also called minimally invasive surgery (MIS), bandaid surgery, keyhole surgery is a modern surgical technique in which operations in the abdomen are performed through small incisions (usually 0.5–1.5 cm) guided by camera as compared to the larger incisions needed in laparotomy, Laparoscopic operation includes operations within the abdominal or pelvic cavities. UDMC also boasts of bringing the price of laparoscopy operation to a very low price of only Php 90,000.00 as compared to Php 120,000.00 - Php 150,000.00 in most hospitals in the country today.

hysteroscopy_imgHysteroscopy is the inspection of the uterine cavity by hysteroscope with access through the cervix. It allows for the diagnosis of intrauterine pathology and serves as a method for surgical intervention (operative hysteroscopy).

A hysteroscope is an endoscope that carries optical and light channels or fibers. It is introduced in a sheath that provides an inflow and outflow channel for insufflation of the uterine cavity. In addition, an operative channel may be present to introduce scissors, graspers or biopsy instruments. A hysteroscopicresectoscope is similar to a transurethral resectoscope and allows entry of an electric loop to shave off tissue, for instance to eliminate a fibroid. A contact hysteroscope is a hysteroscope that does not use distention media.

Hysteroscopy can be availed of at a very low price of Php 80,000.00 as compared to Php 150,000.00 in other hospitals. This kind of operation is also managed by DR. DELFIN TAN.

That indeed is making quality healthcare accessible to everyone!

Perimetry or campimetryis the systematic measurement of differential light sensitivity in the visual field by the detection of the presence of test targets on a defined background. Visual field testing can be performed clinically with confrontational field testing keeping the subject’s gaze fixed while presenting objects at various places in their visual field. This is generally used to explore the extreme boundaries of the visual field. Perimetry more carefully maps and quantifies the visual field. Simple manual equipment can be used such as in the tangent screen test or the Amsler grid. When dedicated machinery is used it is called a perimeter. Kinetic perimetry uses a mobile stimulus moved by a perimetrist such as in Goldmann kinetic perimetry. Kinetic perimetry is useful for mapping visual field sensitivity boundaries. Threshold static perimetry is generally done using automated equipment. It is used for rapid screening and follow up of diseases involving deficits such as scotomas, loss of peripheral vision and more subtle vision loss. Perimetry testing is important in the screening, diagnosing, and monitoring of various eye, retinal, optic nerve and brain disorders.

Fetal Monitoring

Fetal monitoring is by and large done electronically in birthing facilities. Electronic Fetal Monitors are used to detect and tracethe fetal heart rate and uterine contractions. These are usually monitored at the same time. However, each one can be obtained separately. In terms of electronic fetal monitoring, it is either external or internal.

Fetal monitoring is a valuable tool for measuring fetal well being and assessing labor progress. Due to the sensitivity of the monitor, it may indicate a contraction is diminishing even before you notice the pain subsiding. This information can be a very useful energy saving tool and source of encouragement for you and your partner. Continuous electronic fetal monitoring does limit your mobility regarding walking around. However, if you are able, sitting up in a chair or on the side of the bed with your legs supported are options to staying confined to the bed

Fetal monitoring can be availed of at a very low price ofP394.00as againstP1,770.00in other hospitals.

Diagnostic laparoscopyis a procedure that allows a health care provider to look directly at the contents of a patient’s abdomen orpelvis, including thefallopian tubes, ovaries, uterus, small bowel, large bowel, appendix, liver, and gallbladder.

Laparoscopic operation, also calledminimally invasivesurgery(MIS), bandaid surgery, keyholesurgeryis a modernsurgicaltechnique in which operations in theabdomenare performed through smallincisions(usually 0.5–1.5 cm) as compared to the larger incisions needed inlaparotomy.

Laparoscopic operation includes operations within the abdominal orpelvic cavities.

UDMC also boasts of bringing the price of laparoscopy operation to avery low priceof onlyPhp 90,000.00as against Php 120,000.00-Php 150,000.00 in most hospitals in the country today.

Hysteroscopyis the inspection of theuterine cavityby hysteroscope with access through the cervix. It allows for the diagnosis of intrauterine pathology and serves as a method for surgical intervention (operative hysteroscopy).

This kind of operation is also managed byDR. DELFIN TAN.

A hysteroscope is an endoscope that carries optical and light channels or fibers. It is introduced in a sheath that provides an inflow and outflow channel for insufflation of the uterine cavity. In addition, an operative channel may be present to introduce scissors, graspers or biopsy instruments.A hysteroscopic resectoscope is similar to a transurethral resectoscope and allows entry of an electric loop to shave off tissue, for instance to eliminate a fibroid. Acontact hysteroscopeis a hysteroscope that does not use distention media.

Hysteroscopy can be availed of at a very low price ofP80,000.00as againstP150,000.00in other hospitals.

radiology_img2C-arm is an imaging scanner intensifier, so named because of its configuration that has radiographic capabilities, though they are used primarily for fluoroscopic imaging during surgical, orthopedic, critical care, and emergency care procedures.

Angiographic C-arm has recently been used for vascular intervention because it can acquire images of the vascular anatomy and provide information about the surrounding soft tissues. The C-arm flat-panel angiography system provides multiplanar soft-tissue images as well as conventional planar angiograms from a single unit.

C-arm fluoroscopy takes an x-ray of a patient and displays it on a viewing screen, much like a TV. Spine surgeons often use this device to help them locate structures within the spine and to help guide the placement of spinal instrumentation, such as pedicle screws. It is one of the oldest forms of diagnostic radiology used to examine the inner body. Every time the surgeon wants to see a new view of the spine (as an instrument is inserted into it, for example), he/she must take another x-ray. If the surgeon wants to see a view of the spine from another angle, the C-arm must be moved to that new angle and then another x-ray must be taken.

Lowest at Php 450.00 per thirty (30) minutes procedure.
